Children & Behaviors
Every child is unique, and behavioral challenges can surface in many ways — tantrums, difficulty following directions, aggression, defiance, or struggles with focus and self-regulation. These behaviors can create stress at home, at school, and in the community, leaving parents unsure of what to try next. Drawing from my clinical counseling background and specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I help families understand not just what their child is doing, but why the behavior is happening.

Adolescence is a time of rapid change, and teens often feel caught between childhood and adulthood. This stage can bring challenges such as mood swings, peer pressure, academic stress, family conflict, or risky behaviors. In teen counseling, I provide a safe and judgment-free space where teenagers can talk openly about what they’re experiencing, gain tools for managing stress, and develop a stronger sense of self.
Drawing on my experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Supreme Court Family Mediator, I understand the unique pressures teens face in today’s world. I use a flexible, in-the-moment approach—integrating strategies as needed while building trust and connection. Just as importantly, I work with parents to help them support their teen effectively, fostering communication that strengthens family relationships rather than divides them.
“Teens don’t need perfection; they need guidance, patience, and a safe place to discover who they are becoming.”
Children are truly a blessing and a gift.
Although ABA provides a strong foundation, I integrate other approaches as I see they are needed. I am in the moment with each child and family, responding to what works best for them, because there is never a one-size-fits-all solution. Parents are guided step by step in how to apply these strategies at home, so changes are lasting and practical.
“Children often communicate through their behaviors. When we pause to listen and respond with both structure and compassion, children not only grow — families can heal.
Children often struggle to express their feelings with words, so their emotions show up in behavior, moods, or school challenges. Through kids counseling, I provide a safe and supportive space where children can process what they are experiencing, learn new coping skills, and develop healthier ways of managing big emotions. Sessions are designed to meet children at their level—creative, interactive, and engaging—so they feel comfortable opening up and making progress.
With my background as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I help children build skills in emotional regulation, problem-solving, and social interaction. I also work closely with parents, teaching them strategies they can reinforce at home, so the growth continues outside of sessions. My approach is flexible and responsive; there is no one-size-fits-all method. I meet each child in the moment, blending counseling with practical tools that support both the child and the family.
“When children feel safe and understood, they gain the courage to grow into their best selves.”
