Trauma can happen to anyone. In trauma counseling, it is common for individuals to want to know why. Why me? What did I do to deserve to have something so awful happen to me? The truth is, we never get an answer to the question why. In trauma counseling, clients learn how to re-frame traumatic events and to process events. Our focus is on helping our clients to learn new coping skills and avoid playing the role of a victim.
We work with many individuals who are struggling with their trauma and help them to build a support system and to overcome the memories as well as the symptoms that are causing discomfort and suffering.
Our office is warm and friendly. We are located in Vero Beach, Florida.
Trauma is an event that takes place in one’s life, while anxiety, depression and grief are the symptoms or emotions that we can experience after a traumatic event. Trauma can take place as the result of an assault or betrayal. I work with with victims of Sexual Assault, Child Sexual Abuse, Betrayal Trauma or Infidelity, Abandonment Trauma, Physical Abuse, Domestic Violence, Emotional Abuse, Incest, Rape, or Human Trafficking.

Everyone processes trauma differently. Trauma counseling can help individuals to process an event that has had an impact on their life. Similar to grief, trauma is associated with loss. After a traumatic event, we often turn to seclusion as an answer.
We are scared and simply do not know how to process our feelings. Depressive-like symptoms are often associated with a traumatic event. Post-traumatic stress disorder is also associated with a traumatic event in an individual’s life. If you feel that you are either experiencing depressive-like symptoms or post-traumatic stress disorder and would like to talk to a professional, please call our office for counseling in Vero Beach, Florida at 772.742.2020. We offer convenient hours for busy professionals.
